duque salon + spa + boutique in Ballard is now hiring! We’re growing as a company and are in the process of scouting out new talent. We’re looking to fill a variety of openings including sales, customer service, massage technicians, nail technicians, estheticians, hairdressers, hair assistants, spa and salon support and make-up artists. Applicants should have a strong work ethic, a willingness to self-promote, a genuine love of grooming and all things that go with it, a kind and compassionate soul and most importantly the ability to see life on the bright side. Please see the list of detailed job descriptions below.Booking Representatives- Responsible for booking all treatments and appointments. Prior telephone and customer service experience is required. Excellent communication skills, basic computer ability and a desire to deliver first rate service is a must. Attention to detail and capability of multi-tasking is also required for this position. Must be flexible to work all shifts. We are open Tuesday-Sunday and hours vary.
Customer Service Representatives- Prior customer service and sales experience is a must for this position along with a Mother Teresa attitude towards helping others. Responsible for directing customers through salon and spa protocols. Must be flexible to work all shifts. We are open Tuesday-Sunday and hours vary.
Massage Therapist- Qualified applicants are in possession of a current Washington State or national massage license. Willingness to self- promote a must, along with learning and performing specialized duque massage and body treatments. Must be self-motivated and willing to build a strong clientele.
Nail Technicians- Qualified applicants are in possession of a current Washington State nail license. Capable of transitioning skills to the duque method of nail care. Willingness to self-promote a must. Attention to detail a major plus as well as a fanatical obsession with cleanliness.
Estheticians- Qualified applicants are in possession of a current Washington State esthetics license. Ability to prescribe and up-sell necessary treatments is a must for this position as well as the ability to self-promote and build a strong clientele. Hospital grade cleanliness and sanitation is an absolute must.
Hairdressers- Qualified applicants are in possession of a current Washington State hairdressing license. Must be willing to participate in on-going educational events, self-promote, build your business and possess a willingness to be coached. Prima donnas will not be tolerated.
Hair Assistants- Qualified applicants are in possession of a current Washington State hairdressing license, or in attendance of cosmetology school. Must be capable of taking direction, pay attention to detail and maintain time management. Also needs to have a flexible attitude. Demonstrate not only willingness, but also a demand to participate in ongoing educational and promotional events.
Spa + Salon Support- You must be able to multi-task and have the ability to anticipate the needs of the business. Great organizational skills with attention to detail and a fanatical obsession with cleanliness are a must.
Boutique Stylists- Qualified applicants must posses the skill to style and sell. Attention to detail as well as an updated knowledge of today's trends is a necessity. Qualified candidates must have an eye for style and the ability to sell merchandise.
Make-up Artists- Qualified applicants must posses the skill set to create and re-create all aspects of fashion make-up. Must have a keen eye for detail and deal with the public well. Great organizational skills with attention to detail and a fanatical obsession with cleanliness absolutely necessary. Must self-promote and be willing to learn the product lines we carry. Prima donnas will not be tolerated but for the right candidate this position will be a lot of fun!
